I’m Not Making a Resolution

I’ve toyed with blogs from time to time, but have never maintained one regularly (i.e. posting more than once a month).  I hope this one is different.  I’m not making a resolution about it or anything (in fact, I’m starting before the new year to emphasize this point), but I do want to be a better blogger in 2009.

But we are making resolutions about other things.  Abby and I are making a resolution to start praying together more (as a couple) in 2009.  We’ll start by praying at transition times (before eating, before bed time, before traveling together, etc), but hope to increase this to just praying together throughout the day (when we’re stressed, when something comes up, when we want to thank God for a blessing, etc).

In creating this blog, I’m combining all of our individual web sites into one.  I think one reason I haven’t updated our web site as often as I would have liked is that I felt like there were too many sites to update.  We had the main site (what you see now), each of the kids had their own site, and we had our wedding site.  And the lines were fuzzy.  Do I post pictures of Amber and Cory on her site, his site, or both sites?  Where do I post an article about albinism?  Why should any article be posted on one site rather than another?  I hope that having just one site to update makes updating easier.

Some of the old content from the old sites may find its way to this new blog, especially the pictures.  But for older posts and articles, visit the old sites:

I hope that maintaining a regular blog will help to sharpen my writing abilities and reasoning skills, not to mention allow friends and family to see more pictures of our kids.
